about

This album is to some extent documenting my beginnings as a writing composer and one piece (Mutamusic for cello solo from 1983) is really the transition between Texas and Germany for me. I wrote it for one of my last concerts with BL Lacerta, but the recording of it on this recording is from 1985 in Kassel - recorded by German radio. In general, the sound quality of these recordings is very inconsistent, but an interested listener can explore some of the other compositions on the album as examples of what I was writing in the 80s and early 90s. None of these pieces include improvisation and are just conventionally notated chamber music, for better or worse...
